Art Residencies

This year TRAC's elementary art residencies will be focusing on conserving our environment and recycling. Funding for TRAC's elementary school art residencies is made possible by the NC Arts Council, a state agency, and support from our local school sytems. A new grant this year from the Community Foundatino of Western NC will allow TRAC to offer residencies in the middle school in Mitchell and Yancey Counties. Both programs will work toward offering a rich experience in the arts while assisting schools in some of their key goals by tying in with the NC Standard Course of Curriculum.

One of TRAC's largest priorities and emphasis is on arts education. TRAC provides a variety of prgrms & services for area schools and students with art residencies, performances, and after school programs.
