Grant Workshops



Artists are highly encouraged to attend the grant wrting workshops in their respective county. The workshops will offer step-by-step instruction for completing the application, as well as some advice on presenting a positive proposal. Grant Workshops are held throughout the year. TRAC has three grant programs:

 

The Grassroots Arts Grants for non-profits to conduct their own art projects, the Regional Arts Program that provides grants to artists for projects, and Summer Music Scholarships for area middle and high school musicians to attend summer music camps.

Regional Artist Project Grant [RAPG]:

The Regional Artist Project Grant is an annual grant program that provides financial support to developing arts professionals by funding a project pivotal to the advancement of their careers as artists. The program is conducted by the Asheville Area Arts Council in collaboration with TRAC, the Madison County Arts Council, and the Avery County Arts Council.

Awards may be used for a variety of projects, such as attadance at workshops or master classes, production of audio or video demonstration tapes or visual arts portfolios, purchase of supplies or materials needed to complete or produce a new work, or the purchase of equipment. Artists working in all disciplines are encouraged to apply.
