“After almost forty years of experience in the field of public health statistics, I began painting in oils and have taken numerous workshops from acclaimed painters around the United States to perfect my broad-ranging style which continues to evolve. My art has won recognition through features in magazines, a blue ribbon, and public commissions and showings, and hangs in many private homes around the country and in several public venues. I accept limited commissions, and in my own work, am heading toward more intuitively-based personal expressions, but my intention remains–always–to imbue love, enthusiasm, and joy into each painting I create.” – Kat Turczyn
