23rd Annual Music in the Mountains Folk Festival

The 23rd Annual Music in the Mountains Festival was another huge success with lots of toe-tapping and hand clapping! Join us next fall for the 24th year!

The Festival, dedicated to the preservation of mountain music and culture, starts at 5pm and lasts until around 10pm and includes music from all over our mountain region, including bluegrass and traditional music, ballad singers, storytellers, and cloggers. Our JAM (Junior Appalachian Musicians) will open the show this year.

Tickets purchased in advance offer a one-dollar discount and are $9 general admission and $7 for seniors and students. Advance tickets are available at the Burnsville TRAC Gallery at 102 West Main Street, or at the TRAC Center Gallery, located at 269 Oak Avenue, Spruce Pine. At the door, tickets are $10 general admission and $8 for seniors and students.
