June 30 - Old Fashioned Patriotic Celebration on the Burnsville Square, 10am  5pm; deadline to apply May 15.  The Burnsville Lions Club is the sponsor this year.  Non-profit food and game booths / local art and craft booths / demonstrations / entertainment stage. September 15-16 - Bakersville Creek Walk Arts Festival. Application is available online. Deadline to apply is June 1.
