Cecil Sharp Photographs in Spruce Pine

Due to the overwhelming success and interest in the photographs taken by Cecil Sharp, the exhibition will move to Spruce Pine through the month of November.

Ballad collector, Cecil Sharp, collected photographs, stories and the song of the Appalachian people during the early 20th century. Sharp’s beautifully black and white images offer a poignant window in the life of the Appalachian people.
