When & Where: Friday, March 26 from 10:30AM – 12:30PM & 1:30-3:30PM at Toe River Arts, Spruce Pine.
Melanie Finlayson a printmaker and Toe River Arts Community Outreach Coordinator will be teaching a two-hour Paste Paper workshop for kids. Paste paper is one of the earliest forms of decorative papers, is commonly used for bookbinding, as well as calligraphy, printmaking, collage, stamping, and origami. Paste Paper is created using acrylic paint mixed with paste. We will create all kinds of fun patterns by pulling various utensils across the paste. This fun activity is one that can be replicated at home with very simple materials. This workshop is free, but registration is required.
